Panayotis Petropoulos

Panayotis Petropoulos was born in 1967 in Piraeus. He graduated from Ionideios School in 1985 and from the School of Law of National and Kapodistrian University of Athens in 1989. He got his master’s degree in Public Law (1990-1991) and in Comparative Public Law (1994-1995) at Paris II and Paris I Universities. He completed his traineeship in The Council of State (1993-1994) and he came out top in the trainee’s examination of Piraeus Bar Association and became an attorney at law in 1992.

In 2000, he founded his own law firm “Panayotis Petropoulos and Associates”, located in Piraeus. He has participated in several conferences, seminars and colloquiums, including the 5th International Conference on Maritime Law (2004). He has published a lot of articles and studies in law journals and he is the current Editor in Chief of the Piraeus Bar Associations’ law journal, “Peiraiki Nomologia”. He has served as Secretary-General of the Piraeus Bar Association, where he currently occupies the position of Vice-President.
