Nicholas G. Gerassimou is a lawyer at the Supreme Court and a Member of the Piraeus Bar Association. Born in Athens, graduated from Varvakios Model School and the Law School at the University of Athens (Faculty of Law), he attended and obtained a Postgraduate Degree (Master – LL.M.) at the University of Southampton, UK. He is the founder and Managing Partner of Gerassimou & Partners Law Offices, specialized in all kind of shipping and insurance issues, energy and investments in Greece and abroad. He is a Board Member of the «Hellenic Maritime Law Association» and the «Hellenic Association of Maritime Lawyers» and Cashier in the “Traditional Boat Association of Greece” and the General Secretary of the «Greek Azerbaijani Chamber of Commerce & Business». He is also Member of various international Chambers of Commerce and Member of the Piraeus Marine Club, the “Yacht Club of Greece”, the “Propeller Club”, the “Friends of Liberty Association” and the “Friends of the Athens Academy”. He is also the Legal Counsel of the Board of Directors of the Association «Hellenic Marine Environment Protection Association» («HELMEPA») and the Board of Directors of the «Hellenic Shortsea Shipowners Association» («HSSA»). He is the author of 50 articles and commentaries as regards various legal matters of shipping, energy and investment laws, published in the Greek and international scientific journals. Last, he is a Member of the Maritime Section of New Democracy Party and one of the drafters of its maritime program.
